Rules for Allocate 100% – Automatic Percentage Allocations

No Allocations

If there are no allocations pressing the Allocate 100% button splits allocations evenly across all of assets.

Some Allocations – but they do not total 100%

If some assets have a percentage allocated to them that add up to more than or less than 100% pressing the Allocate 100% button will divide each of the allocations by the total amount in percentage terms / 100. E.g. If you have 2 assets both allocated 60%, pressing the Allocate 100% button will add up the total (60%+60%=120%) then divide by 1.2. Therefore 60 / 1.2 = 50%. Each asset will be allocated 50%.

Some Allocations – and new assets are added

If some assets have allocations and then new assets are added without allocations, pressing the Allocate 100% button will first assign an allocation to each of the new assets equal to 100/total number of assets.  The system will then add up the allocations for all assets and divide each of the allocations by the total allocations / 100

e.g. 4 assets, each with 25% and a new asset is added with no allocation.

Step 1 the system will assign a value of 20% to the new assets.
Step 2 the system will add up all the allocations which will now equal 120%.
Step 3, each allocation will be divided by 1.2. This will equal 20.833 for the assets that were originally 25% and 16.667% for the new asset.
